Apart from the academic activities, the college has devoted itself to social services of many types. Under the National Service Scheme, the college takes up programmes and campaigns like social awareness, mass education, campus cleaning, blood donation camp, Yoga and Mind Training/Workshops etc. The first NSS Unit of the college started its journey in the year of 2008. At present, there are two NSS units which are actively participating in the functionalities of NSS, under the leadership of the Programme Officers - Dr.Amitava Moitra and Prof. Suvankar Ghosh Roy Chowdhury. Dr. Sisir Chatterjee, Dr. Madhumita Majumder, Dr. Arvinda Shaw, Dr. Shakuntala Ghorai, Prof. Sital Sing, Prof. Sabita Soren, Prof. Bidyut Saha, Prof. Hamidur Rahman, Mr. Shaktipada Jana and the Principal, Dr. Sasabindu Jana, continually keep assisting both the Programme Officers. The village of Mundapara has been adopted recently by the NSS Units of the college to promote the causes of better education and social awareness.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, which was launched in 1969 with the primary objective of- “Education through Service” .The purpose is to help in shaping the personality and character of the student youth through voluntary community service, thus the motto of NSS is- “ NOT ME BUT YOU”. An active volunteer can acquire exposure and experience in becoming an accomplished social leader, an efficient administrator and a person who understands human nature. Apart from academic activities, Raidighi college has been actively contributing towards social service through its National Service Scheme Units. These units (I & II) organise programmes such as Seminars, Rallies, Camps, Workshops , Trainings, Campaigns, Cleanliness drives, outreach activities for social awareness, mass education, community welfare and youth engagement. The first NSS Unit of the college was started in 2008. At present, there are two NSS Units, well represented by Programme Officers- Dr. Arvinda Shaw (PO-Unit-I) , Dr. Moloy Mandal (PO-Unit-II) and an Advisory Committee consisting of- Chairman-Dr. Sasabindu Jana, Principal, Raidighi College, Prof. Sanat Kumar Purkait, Prof. Bidyut Saha, Prof. Hamidur Rahaman Molla, Prof. Sital Sing, Prof. Tanmoy Purkait and Prof. Joydeb Roy. The following are the list of activities conducted by the units in the session 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.
